New int’l students gathered at Int’l Student Lounge on the day of spring Entrance Ceremony 🌸

Japanese Section 🇯🇵 of Institute for Liberal Arts (ILA) organized orientation for new int’l students, followed by Welcome Coffee Hours ☕️

Prof Hidetoshi Sekiguchi, Executive Vice President for Education, came in and made heartwarming ❤️ welcome speech!

During Welcome Coffee Hours, Japanese students as well as senior int’l students joined each table and enjoyed chatting in Japanese/English 🤩

Good luck to all with your Japanese studies! More Japanese you learn, more you will be able to enjoy life in Japan!

You can enjoy green tea 🍵, Japanese sweets while viewing cherry blossoms in full bloom!!🌸

For three days at the end of March, health checkup

For three days at the end of March, health checkups 🩺 for newly enrolled bachelor students were conducted at Ookayama campus.

Many members of the student organization formed a line in front of Kuramae Hall, around TakiPlaza, and behind the library, trying to recruit new bachelor students.

The Spring Entrance Ceremony 🌸 will be held tomorrow, 1 April at Ookayama for
⭐️ ALL faculties,
⭐️ ALL graduate schools, and
⭐️ ALL schools
There will be no ceremony in other campuses

🕚11:00 for bachelor’s degree students
🕑14:00 for master’s, professional master’s and doctoral degree students.
(approximate duration of the ceremony is 40 minutes)

Venue: Sports Center, Ookayama Campus

Door will be open one hour prior to the ceremony and family members will be able to watch the ceremony on screens 🎦 at other venues within the campus.

The Spring Graduation Ceremony🎓🌸 will be held on 26 Mar 2025 for students graduating from Science & Engineering field 🔬🧬⚙️ at Ookayama Campus - the first graduation ceremony to be held under the name of “Institute of Science Tokyo”.

Ceremony will be held;
⭐️26 March 2025 (Wed)
🕚Bachelor’s: from 11:00 -
🕑Master’s, Professional Master’s & Doctoral degree students: from 14:00 -
⭐️Venue: Sports Center (Ookayama Campus)

Doors will open 1 hour prior to the commencement of the ceremony. Admission to the venue will be restricted after 10 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony - please try to arrive earlier 👀‼️

The ceremony will be held for approximately 1 hour.

For the family members, you will be able to watch the ceremony over screen on other venues (70th Anniversary Auditorium or Multi-Purpose Digital Hall)

Do you know Science Tokyo conducts Campus Disaster Drill 🧯🚒 every year in Autumn? Disaster drills are held on each campus, and all students👨🏻‍💻👩‍💻, faculties👨‍🏫🧑‍🏫 and staff are required to participate 👀

“ Living in Japan 🇯🇵🗾 means not just enjoying its stunning seasons and scenery, but also understanding the realities of natural disasters. Japan’s climate, unique topography, and location on the Pacific Ring of Fire contribute to frequent seismic activity, earthquakes 🫨, typhoons 🌀 .., and volcanic eruptions 🌋 …. Given these risks, Japan places great importance on disaster prevention education.
