Fai Huntrakool, from Bangkok, Thailand is now pursuing a master’s degree in mathematical and computing sciences at Tokyo Tech. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in automotive engineering from Chulalongkorn university, Thailand. She came to Japan in 2018 as a MEXT scholarship recipient. Fai aspires to develop and apply mathematical models and optimization tools to solve complex real-world problems such as optimal sample allocations in experimental research. Before attending Tokyo Tech, she had 2 years of work experience in the internet industry in Southeast Asia where the competition heats up. Fai enjoys Japanese foods, exploring cities, going on a photo walk in Tokyo and trekking at the magnificent Japan Alps in the summer.
