Student Ambassador from July 2020 to March 2022
My Tokyo Tech journey commenced as a young exchange student in 2014. Fast forward in 2020 today, I am now a young-at-heart PhD candidate whose research employs Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to safeguard the intangible cultural heritage of Luang Prabang World Heritage Site in Laos.
Under the auspices of my supervisors, Prof. Shinobu Yamaguchi and Prof. Jun-ichi Takada, and the Tokyo Tech Academy for Leadership (ToTAL), my plan after graduation is to serve the ASEAN region and champion ICT in educating the ASEAN peoples their shared history.
I, who hail from a small suburb in the Philippines, intend to use this student ambassador platform to share my personal stories as an international student in the hope of encouraging ambitious, prospective students around the world to experience a wide range of opportunities by being part of the Tokyo Tech community.
