Hello! I’m Mikael Wijaya from Indonesia. You can simply call me “Mikael.” I am an undergraduate student from the Global Scientists and Engineers Program (GSEP) affiliated with the Department of Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering in the School of Environment and Society. University life here is exciting as Tokyo Tech has provided me with many opportunities from courses to student events that have helped me grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally. I am grateful to have been able to contribute to the vibrant student community here through student organizations like the Tokyo Tech International Student Association (TISA), and to keep my connection with the Indonesian diaspora here through the Indonesian Students Association. Aside from school, Japan is full of beautiful places and experiences. I really enjoy the variety of good food and I like visiting all sorts of restaurants, cafes, and the like, and I especially love coffee and the coffee culture here. So far, my time in Japan and at Tokyo Tech has been challenging, exciting, and eye-opening, and I am eager to share all of these experiences with you!
