Student Ambassador from April 2025 to March 2026
Hi everyone! I’m Hafizh, a second-year graduate student pursuing my doctorate in Artificial Intelligence, researching graph neural networks. Before enrolling in Science Tokyo, I was a data scientist in an e-commerce company back in Indonesia. Before that, I actually finished my Master’s course here in Science Tokyo (or as we called it back then, Tokyo Tech!). It may seem unusual for someone already working in tech to go back to school, but my experience as a professional provided me with a lot of clarity and motivation to return and learn more about the things I’m passionate about. Given my past engagements with Japan and my fascination with its people, nature, and culture, going back to Science Tokyo was a no-brainer. Outside work, you can find me either travelling around Tokyo and Japan by local train or just singing my heart out alone at a nearby Karaoke place. As a Student Ambassador, I look forward to welcoming you to this university and sharing the many things I love about life here!
