Student Ambassador from April 2023 to September 2024
Hi, my name is St Cyr Eden, but you can call me “Ed” or “Eden” if you prefer. I am originally from Haiti, a beautiful Caribbean island. I completed my bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in Haiti and worked for three years before deciding to take my studies to the next level and pursue advanced studies abroad. I have always loved diversity and learning about new cultures, which is one of the reasons why I decided to pursue my studies in Japan. In 2022, I received the MEXT Scholarship from the Japanese government and came to Japan in the spring as a research student at Tokyo Tech. Later in the fall, I became a regular master’s student of Global Engineering for Development Environment and Society, with a focus on scenarios of energy generation and waste management in Haiti. As an enthusiastic Tokyo Tech Student Ambassador, I am excited to meet new people and broaden my cultural horizons. I am also passionate about music and enjoy spending time with my family. Additionally, I have a keen interest in leadership and environmental sustainability. Feel Free to connect!
