School of Environment and Society
Student Ambassador from April 2021 to March 2022

Hello! I am Chihiro Wada from the Department of Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering. I grew up in Hiroshima, Japan. I worked in Tokyo and Kyoto for two years before I entered the doctoral course of Tokyo Tech. I am now studying at Nohara Lab and working as a research institute assistant at CGS, ICU. Nohara Lab explores interdisciplinary research topics based on translation study. We use both quantitative and qualitative research methods to address transdisciplinary topics such as Science & Art, human and non-human, or human communication using technology. I am currently studying interrelations between inanimate objects and gender-sexuality systems based on feminist technoscience studies’ viewpoint. Other than my research, I enjoy visiting ancient ruins and old temples or shrines in Tokyo or Nara. I love learning Japanese art, culture, and history through artworks or historical sites.
