Student Ambassador from April 2026 to March 2027
Hi! I’m Kyi Su Khing Thinn from Myanmar and I am a master’s student in the Global Engineering Course for Development, Environment and Society at Science Tokyo. Before joining Science Tokyo, I studied Mechanical Engineering in Myanmar and later spent one year at the Tokyo Japanese Language Education Center (JASSO).
During my master’s studies in Myanmar, I decided to pursue further academic opportunities in Japan and was able to complete my previous program while studying at JASSO. With the support of the Okazaki Kaheita International Scholarship Foundation, I was able to continue my academic journey in Japan and explore life here. Through these experiences, I developed strong cross-cultural communication skills. My transition to environmental and sustainability-focused studies has been a meaningful journey that shaped my interdisciplinary perspective.
Outside my studies, I’m an outgoing and adventurous person who enjoys meeting new people, exploring Japan, and trying delicious food. If you ever need help, advice, or just want to chat, feel free to reach out to me on Instagram @kyisukhing. I look forward to contributing to a welcoming and supportive community at Science Tokyo.
